I provide surgery letters for folks pursuing gender affirming care surgeries. This requires a 45-60 minute session where we will talk about your gender journey, your hopes and plans for surgery, establish a diagnosis, and explore the need for other resources. These letters will then be sent to you to be able to share with your doctors or insurance companies to get insurance coverage for surgery and to ensure you have a solid care plan for pre and post surgery. Please reach out if you are interested in exploring this process and I’m happy to provide more information.
Fees
I work on a sliding scale fee based on income. My sliding scale is $50 to $100 which includes a letter writing session, surgery recovery planning, the letter that you can send out to surgeons, and any updates you need due to changing insurance requirements.

I am in network with Kaiser insurance (PPO and Core). For all other insurance providers, I provide a Superbill that you can submit to your insurance for reimbursement.
Make sure to call your insurance ahead of time to ask about your benefits (what your deductible is, if there is a limit on the number of sessions, co-pay, etc). This ensures there will be no surprise bills because that is never fun for anyone.
I offer a free 30 minute phone consultation prior to our first individual session. This is a time for us to get to know each other a little better, discuss issues/goals you are hoping to work on in therapy, and get a sense of how you feel about working together. Therapy chemistry is a real thing.
What to Expect
We’ll start with an intake where we go over your symptoms, life experiences, relationship patterns, and socio-cultural background to understand the context of your experience.
This process can take between 1 to 3 sessions. It’s important to take an in-depth history to improve my ability to meet you where you are at and develop a trusting relationship.
From there we will set goals and work together to begin to work toward the life and relationships you want for yourself.
